Key Programs
All students are encouraged to complete learning at home during the Coronavirus Pandemic.
Parents and carers are asked to keep realistic expectations of their child (and themselves)!
Each child and learner is unique. Please try to keep the learning at home fun and enjoyable (as much as possible) and the units of work are not mandatory but designed to keep students learning as we navigate through this difficult time.
Parents are asked to support students where possible.
Our two key platforms are currently:
K-2: Seesaw
3-6: Microsoft 365 Teams
Each class teacher Years 3-6 will provide students with passwords and log-in details.
(Please contact the school if your child has not received their log on details.)
Units of Work:
Each week students will be provided with a weekly unit of work to complete.
See the “Units of work” tab.
Students being supervised at school or at home will complete the same units of work each week.
Units of work will be provided by Friday to start the next week.
Paper booklets of each week will be available every Monday from 10am which can be collected from the school hall.
There are two core literacy and numeracy activities for students to complete each day.
There are also optional activities which will be available and suggested websites.
Online Websites Subscriptions:
The school has purchased several website subscriptions for each child at Rutherford Public School. These are designed to help children keep practicing key skills and concepts of the grade.
The programs are:
K-2
Reading Eggs (online and App available)
Matific (online and App available)
Years 3-6
Read Theory (Online)
Matific (online and App available)
Teachers will provide passwords for each of these websites.
